The Modernist poetry of writers such as Ezra Pound, T.S. Eliot, E.E. Cummings and others marks one of the most decisive changes in recent literary history. It is not only intellectually and aesthetically stimulating, but also thoroughly playful and slightly anarchic. In this seminar, modernist poetry will be considered in the context of the paradigm changes that manifested themselves in the arts as well as in philosophy, psychology and religion.
