Using longer literary texts presents a variety of challenges.We will deal with ways of maintaining momentum while using longer works.We will look at different ways to ensure that our learners have read the piece,ways of developing their understanding of themes and characters.The focus will be on motivating learners and encouraging communication rather than lecturing. We will be referring to works such as Miller's All My Sons, Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time and others.
